Young Brothers Taekwondo

Young Brothers and 9th Dan Grandmasters Young Il Kong and Young Bo Kong founded Young Brothers Taekwondo Associates in 1968 and opened the first schools in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. Young Brothers Taekwondo's vision is to maintain and develop students who adhere to and maintain the five tenets of Taekwondo. To train, monitor, and maintain only those students who show respect for self, others, and country - as well as students who show determination and discipline.

Grand Master Mark Giambi, long time student of both Grand Masters Young Il Kong and Young Bo Kong, established the first Young Brothers Taekwondo school in Houston, Texas in 1981. His vision and mission have been to help spread Taekwondo across the State of Texas and he is largely responsible for growing its popularity as a martial arts form in Houston, Texas. Grand Master Mark Giambi is a 9th Degree Black Belt with over 40 years of experience as a master instructor. He has taught Taekwondo to over 3,000 black belts including both world champions and Olympians.

Young Brothers Taekwondo students will learn more than the basic techniques of self-defense. They will learn the five tenets of Taekwondo which are the cornerstones of the philosophy that embody the art: courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and indomitable spirit.

Our Masters and Instructors will develop in every student a strong sense of self-confidence while maintaining the Taekwondo training focus of respect and discipline. We invite people of all ages and skill levels from Bellaire, West University Place, Willowbend, and all of Houston to join us today to begin your journey in Taekwondo.
